Bach's Mass in B Minor Concert Sold Out!

All tickets for the grand concert presented by the choir and orchestra sold out a little less than two months prior to the event

Lamèque, N. B., Thursday, June 6, 2016: The Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival announces that the grand concert of Bach's Mass in B Minor, presented on Saturday evening, July 30, 2016, by the Mission Saint-Charles Choir and Arion Baroque Orchestra, is now sold out.

According to the artistic director, Vincent Lauzer, the Festival's concerts are increasingly popular. "All tickets for the concert of the Mass in B Minor are now sold, a little less than two months before the event! The public response to Bach's masterpiece is truly amazing and we thank everyone for their support" he said. "We know that some people will be disappointed not to be able to attend this concert. However, the dress rehearsal will be open to the public in order to offer music lovers the chance to see the work of musicians and hear a glimpse of the concert." This public rehearsal, featuring the Mission Saint-Charles Choir, Arion Baroque Orchestra and an international cast of 8 vocal soloists, will be held Friday, July 29, at 1:30 p.m., at Sainte-Cécile Church. Passes to attend will be sold at the entrance for $10, cash only.

In addition, the Festival is selling a limited amount of tickets for seats with reduced visibility, located on the balcony of Sainte-Cécile Church. Those interested can contact the Festival office for more information.

The artistic director points out that good tickets are still available for the two other concerts of the Festival, presented on July 28 and 29. The Festival thanks the public for its support. See you in Lamèque this summer!
